When is the best time to book?

Book by late August for the widest date selection. We install between the last week of September and the third week of October. High-demand dates (the first two weekends of October) fill by mid-September.

Question 2

How long do the pumpkins last?

Accepted Answer

Anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks, depending on where you live and how much sun your porch gets. Direct sun and warmer afternoons shorten the season; cool mornings and shade extend it.

A general guide:

Sacramento and the valley: 4 to 8 weeks
Truckee and Lake Tahoe: 6 to 10 weeks
Reno and the eastern slope: 8 to 12 weeks

Do you remove the pumpkins after the season?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as an optional add-on. End-of-season removal is available with any package (not included by default). It's a flat $75 whichever package you choose, and you'll see it on your order before you pay. At checkout, pick the week you'd like us to collect, anywhere between November 3 and December 7, and we'll contact you with a 2-hour arrival window closer to the date.

Nothing goes to landfill. Usable pumpkins are donated to local farms and animal shelters for feed; the rest are composted.

What areas do you serve?

The Lake Tahoe basin plus Truckee, Olympic Valley, Alpine Meadows, Donner Lake, Northstar and Soda Springs — and now Reno, Sparks and Verdi — all free delivery. Beyond that we charge a flat fee by zip code: Carson City and Washoe Valley, South Lake Tahoe and the Carson Valley, the north valleys, and west over Donner Summit through Grass Valley and Auburn, and on through Roseville and Folsom to Sacramento and Elk Grove. The map on our homepage shows every zone and what it adds; anywhere else, ask us for a custom quote.

Question 5

Can I customize my package?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Add-ons include a Grand Prize Pumpkin ($200, limited quantity), extra hay bales ($45 each), ten-packs of mini and sugar pumpkins, a backyard setup if you want the display at the back of the house rather than the front porch ($150), design & setup for the drop-off packages ($95), and end-of-season removal ($75 flat). For estates or events with unique requirements, request a custom quote.

Question 6

What if a pumpkin gets damaged?

Accepted Answer

Pumpkins are natural produce, and mountain life brings bears, curious deer, weather, and the occasional over-enthusiastic squirrel. Once your display has been delivered and styled, if you booked full-service, the pumpkins are yours to enjoy and care for. We don't offer replacements or refunds for post-installation damage. If a pumpkin arrives with a pre-existing defect at delivery, photograph it and email us within 24 hours and we'll replace it free.

Question 7

Do I need HOA approval?

Accepted Answer

Check with your HOA or property manager before you book. Many neighborhoods around the lake have rules about seasonal décor and about what can be left outside where wildlife might find it, and pumpkins are food. Confirming those rules is your responsibility under our terms, but if your association wants specifics we'll happily send dimensions and photos. Let us know before delivery and we'll move your date or adjust the package.
